Thomas Midgley Jr. has been named a “one-man environmental disaster” for two big reasons. He was one of the early pioneers of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) – compounds that became widely used in industry – and which were destroying the ozone layer. He also invented leaded gasoline and insisted that it was safe to use.

In 1940, at the age of 51, Midgley contracted polio and was left severely disabled. He devised an elaborate system of ropes and pulleys to lift himself out of bed. On November 2, 1944, at the age of 55, he was found dead at his home in Worthington, Ohio. He had been killed by his own device after he became entangled in it and died of strangulation.

Watching that United Health Care CEO Brian whoever getting shot like a professional hit was so delicious. The unidentified shooter walking up and immediately taking him down without pause for all the evil shit he wrought upon people for insurance they pay for was wondrous.

Luigi is innocent and being railroaded...

Should say the unknown shooter.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 days ago

The Adjuster remains at large.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 days ago

My bad. Corrected.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It wasn't Luigi. He was banging my wife at the time.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I can confirm. I was there standing in the corner watching. But in a strictly nonsexual way.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I was watching the webcam stream.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I was sitting in the closet dressed as Superman.

Jerry's daddy lmao

"I don't want your genes in my gene pool Jerry, but we all make little concessions"

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago

Yeah, that shit should be on a loop in time square until the problem is fixed

Mussolini was beaten to death and strung up by his ankles.

[–] [email protected] 45 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Muammar Gaddafi was dragged out of a drainage ditch by Misrata militia members, partially stripped, and repeatedly stabbed in the ass with something sharp (it's tough to tell from the video, but it's some kind of stick or knife). They then chucked him onto the back of a truck, but he fell off onto the ground as they pulled away. They then stuck him into an ambulance. He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

AKA "getting Gaddafi'd," which is Putin's greatest fear, I've heard.

That submarine that imploded.

That time Trump got covid.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The submarine owner/grifter may have deserved it, but the sub was also carrying a child who was only there as a Father's Day gift. And honestly, I don't know much about the dad, but if his sin was being rich enough to charter a submarine I don't consider that an automatic death sentence.

If I recall correctly the son was terrified but went only because of his father…

[–] [email protected] 32 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Elon Musk's feelings have been hurt by people hating his guts. Poor little tyke. 😔

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago

and using his son he has neglected since his birth as a human shield.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Look up what happened to Mussolini

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Why not tell us, if you know?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 days ago

Because I don’t know how to post pictures in the comments. He was executed with a machine gun (probably too quick of a death, but I think they were worried he’d escape again) but afterwards his corpse went on tour where folks were allowed to throw stuff at it, as well as beat the ever loving shit out of him. If you go looking for the pics of the “after” just know they’re not pretty.

Dick Cheney got lower lumbar spinal stenosis.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cheney-hospitalized-for-back-surgery/

I have the same thing and it's the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life.

My brain was trying to tell me that my spine was broken and that I could feel the broken ends grinding against each other.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 days ago (2 children)

At least you didn't shoot anyone in the face with a shotgun.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The best part was when Cheney got the guy he shot in the face to apologize to him 😂

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 day ago

For that style of bird hunting Cheney was acting appropriately. The other guy basically jumped up in front of him when he was supposed to stay down.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Who was it? They need to apologize to you

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

"I'm sorry i blocked your shot with my stupid face, Mr ~~Cheney~~ Lund."

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Gaddafi got exactly what he deserved and most of it was on camera. Can't wait for the day when we get the same satisfaction

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Leaving morality to one side for a second, I just want to say Gaddafi was the GOAT dictator though

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

Ivan the Terrible didn't get to play that killer chess move he'd been working on for years.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Was merc’ed by Vance, more like.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago

Mr Burns got shot.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Most of us would consider someone’s demise to be a bad thing.

But if it’s a bad person, is it a terrible thing?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Nope. Bad people sometimes get what's coming to them 10 fold of what they do to others

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I wake up every morning hoping to read good news. I mean, with that diet it's inevitable.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I hate to break it to you, but there's plenty of people waiting to take his place. I honestly hope he lives for many years because at least he's dumb enough to repeatedly kneecap himself the way he has been.

Too many pancakes? :)
