Not that many people use email much anymore, but as you often need an email address to sign up for other shit... anyway, I need a better option than gmail, I'm sure you can appreciate why. Email is so old school at this point that most of the time I don't even think about it anymore.

Anyway, I need some email options that aren't gmail or otherwise attached to a billionaire. I'm not really interested in non-email methods of communication, I'm specifically asking about email.

As far as I knew, "Zionist" as a negative was primarily used by the Nazis for all that blood libel stuff. I think it may have been used under Stalinist communism as well. The KKK and other white supremacist groups use it. You also see Zion in hymns, usually as a reference to heaven.

FWIW, I'm not a supporter of Israel or the ongoing Palestinian genocide. I also think that most of the Muslim states are terrible as well. Organized religion and its involvement in the state is a cancer and it doesn't much matter if it's Judaism, Islam, or Christianity. Fundamentalism is terrible.

Anyhow, when I see "Zionism" to refer to support of Israel, it pings my bullshit detector. It isn't a part of normal discourse as I know it in the US. It feels like whomever is spouting it has been propagandized when I see it. It seems to be accompanied by varying degrees of jingoism and anger. Tends to be a very black and white worldview, almost naive. Reminds me of Qanon brainwashing but for the Left.

What is driving this?

Is it tankies? (Which I don't know a lot about, but they seem to be heavily propagandized and unpleasant.)

Is it Muslims?

Some sort of Left ideology that isn't common in the US?

Is it politically naive kids that have been fed talking points?

Is it Russian, Chinese, or some other state level disinfo/propaganda?

I'm spinning up a new seedbox and wanted to know what is everyone using nowadays? I was using deluge via the thick client and rutorrent previously. Are they still king? edit: I should have also mentioned that I plan on running this server headless so I will need to be able to access it via a thin client or a web browser

You used to be able to use the ##4636## trick to get a hidden menu, but now that's gone too. There's nothing in the menu that alllows you to select which network to use. I hate to keep having network disconnects and in perpetual 4G/5G back and forth and battery draining.

I use Samsung btw

Edit: For context: Its due to issues with being near the edge of the 5G zone so your phone keeps going back and forth between 4G and 5G which (I suspect), is what causes constant network disconnection, phone being hot/warm, and battery drain. Very annoying.

I'm trying and failing to get spamassassin to load user prefs from a mysql database. I'm using spamass-milter and I can't find any way in the docs to send anything. spamass fails to parse the recipient as the user and just uses it's running user in it's call to spamd. The database is properly configured and I can connect and set settings from roundcube. The sql config is added to local.cf.

I know that you can use spamd as a pipe, and then you can pass more variables, but I can't figure out the correct config for this setup.

This is what I have in /etc/default/spamd: OPTIONS="-Q -x --max-children 5 -D sql,bayes -H /etc/mail/spamassassin/" I've also tried multiple combinations with the flags -q, without -x...

And this is what I have in /etc/default/spamass-milter OPTIONS="-u spamass-milter -x -i 127.0.0.1" Where again I've tried without -u, with -e domain.com to explicitly set the domain.

If anyone has any advice or can point me to a recent tutorial for Ubuntu 24.04, I would be really grateful!
