Yeah, but overall battery and charging cost where about half/half. The biggest factor by far was value loss.

It’s not the big difference it may seem.

Why? If anything, charging stations are more expensive than charging at home.

mostly charging stations. Originally I planned to load at home but soon after buying I moved houses and had to rely on nearby charging stations.

I operated an electric vehicle between 2016 and 2020. All costs included, I paid a bit under 300 EUR per months for 25.000km / year.

I operated different gasoline vehicles between 2007 and 2014. All costs included, I paid a bit under 300 EUR per months for roughly 25.000km/ year.

From that I conclude it doesn't matter enough to make it a big topic, but at least here in Germany, both electricity and gasoline prices have skyrocketed since, so, who knows. Charging cost may be cheaper if you can charge at home.

Agreed, but this can only be a rule for people who are in touch with their bodies enough so they actually notice when it’s time to sleep.

For everyone who loves to binge series or similar behaviors, going to bed earlier is probably the better rule.

Sleeping is the right way, going to bed early is even righter.

Makes me wonder when battery theft will become a thing.

I don’t know the word, but your question makes me remember how nostalgic “Stranger Things” made me for the 80s. Although I lived through that as a child and it wasn’t all that cool, with the Cold War looming over everything.

When I address my peers suddenly as "old white men", and then realize they're just as old as me.

That's the spirit. Although sometimes I see changes in my skin that don't match the age I feel :-D

Wait, what movement? The only thing I see is that there’s slightly more awareness that neurodiverse is a thing. But I don’t see that leading to more inclusivity.

Having observed the culture war in the US for a while, my take is that the problem here is not wokeness per se, that is just as simple as cam_i_am stated. The problem with the culture war is that the conservatives pick a fight over every little step towards progressive legistator. They'll fight tooth and nail so that LGBT+ people do NOT have place in society. And these people, while being a minority, still add up to a significant part of the population, maybe around 10-15%.

And at that part, the woke people have no choice but to fight back, IF they want to have a place in society.

I have no idea about where in the "post communist part of the EU" you could be. But if you're in Hungary or Poland, there is no culture war, because the suppression is absolute.
