That's the neat part...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Dealing with nasal vestibulitis right now, not sure from over picking or dealing with being sick 24/7 from my daughters daycare. Took a while to figure out what was wrong with my nose. Hopefully wont be picking it much after that!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 hours ago

Hope whatever it is that you're feeling better soon.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 hours ago

Less cocaine

[–] [email protected] 10 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Bruh literally everyone does it. Just wash your hands after.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 hours ago

before is the really important one

[–] [email protected] 6 points 15 hours ago

How else would you get rid of those cocain crusts. A clean nose is a happy nose.

That's my secret. I haven't.

There are two types of people in the world:

  • Nose Pickers
  • Liars
[–] [email protected] 52 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Stop? Why? Sometimes you gotta clean your nose and evolution has given you 8 great tools to do that.

How do you pick your nose with your thumb?

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 day ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 19 hours ago

You can get some low hanging fruit.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

With lots of enthusiasm.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

How big are your thumbs?

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Nahman.

Following text is very disgusting! Do NOT read if you‘re eating or want to eat!

Tap for spoilerBest feeling when you got a 4 inch long slimy boy with some blood clots in it at a single pull and when you can feel it moving in your head. And the smelling in 4KUHD afterwards 👌

I warned you.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yuck!

More spoilerBut thanks for the reminder. It almost makes me want to break my nose to chase the feeling.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 day ago

never stopped! but i do avoid doing it in public

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 day ago

I was literally picking my nose when I saw this! 😭

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

She stopped returning my calls because she caught me in a pick at a light.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago

I just now don't eat my boogers. I am miner though. Like poops I sometimes observe each specimen.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

anything to do with the nose disgusts me for some reason if i touch it i gotta go wash my hands

[–] [email protected] 1 points 22 hours ago

even the outside?

for the inside I don't think it's a problem, it's hygienic

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 day ago

I'm fine with people picking their noses. But we can't be friends if you're eating it, sorry!

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 day ago

I just got stealthier at it

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

My younger sister had this issue! (and would also sometimes eat it 🤢). Did it until her first year of high school.

My mom borrowed a microscope for our schooling, and my little sister had the funny idea to put a booger on a slide to take a look.

We both looked and were absolutely horrified at what we saw that day. Never saw her pick her nose ever again.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

I once read that humans pick by nature because the sinuses are a filter, and then the tonsils can sample that filter for germs to strengthen itself without getting fully sick.

I am not a nosepicking scientist tho so idk, take it with a grain of booger

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Isn't leaving it in the nose even worse? 😱

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Use a tissue, my dude.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

You can get a nail polish like thing that tastes gross (but is non-toxic) to stop the habit of absent mindedly picking

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I thought those were to stop you from biting your nails not picking your nose.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

That is probably the case - have only heard about this product 2nd hand.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

And what, it smells bad, too?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not sure, I've never used it. I assume it's supposed to tackle step 1 of the nose pick by making step 2 taste bad.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Are you suggesting everyone who picks their nose past the age of 3, also eats the boogers?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 day ago

That seems to be what people in this thread are reporting if you read the comments.

So are you going to get the anti-pick nail polish? You seem very interested.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

When I started getting nose hairs. Now I pluck those suckers and they bring anything else out with them.

I should also point out that when I get my hair cut, the barber also does a wax removal.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

I recommend to not plug them out. It can lead to mini infections creating nasty painful ~~pickles~~ pimples inside your nose.

Get a nose hair trimmer instead.

Edit: I just realized I accidentally used the German word for pimple. No, there wouldn't magically manifest pickles inside your nose, just by plugging some hairs. But I'm certain there is some kind of parallel universe, where this might happen.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 hours ago

Here in Germany Pickel-Rick is quite common.

With a username like that I can only assume a level of expertise I cannot reach as I am follicle-ly challenged. I shall take your advice on board 😊

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Do children not have nose hairs? That seems off, I thought only people with certain alopecias were the only ones without nose hair

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

I think they mean the kind that stick out of your nose. I didn't get those until long after my childhood ended.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I never had nose hair that bothered me until my mid 30's. I think that may be what they mean. I now trim all the time. Otherwise, my nose gets super itchy. I also have no idea how people pull them... hurts so much.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

After a few times of pulling them, the pain goes away.
