If you want to avoid giving people rights that are meant to apply to all humans, you are doing something very wrong.
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
[email protected] appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
Someone pointed out to me that they’re using the migrants issue to get rid of the Human Rights act for everyone.
There were reasons to vote the Tories out. In case you forgot, inhuman behavior like that is one of them.
Deporting people who come here and commit crimes is a normal thing to do though?
No one said they weren't dumb.
Can we not use the human rights act to ban the tories?
Tories say human rights should not apply to tory policy.
But hide it under bullshit anti immigration properganda.
Edit: While at each complaint refusing to say exactly what rights immigrants should not have. Because they know full well an anomalous enemy is more effective then clearly trying to identify a problem.
This attack should always be answeredwith. OK please list the exact rights you feel only UK citizens should have. And refuse to discuse untill they list them.
Make them debate the actual rights not some anomalous act.
The only proof you need is that they had power for over a decade and the "problem" got worse. If they really gave a shit about immigration maybe they could have done something about it.
But, clearly, it's just the pot they stir to get their base riled enough to vote.
Or they're massively incompetent. (It's both, but for different reasons)
starmer will probably do it and then criticise the tories for not doing it
"Tory call to ban use of Human Rights" sounds pretty apt
Did you have a stroke while typing this post title?
Whoops - I actually used the auto suggest title feature, but clearly not to great effect...
