I think 2.5 inches would be closer to a soda can if we're using references.

2.5" in diameter is just under a baseball (2.8").

Can you please start using real units. Seriously.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

It's the same size as a cricket ball, 2.8".

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

No. 2.5" is in real units already. What's your problem with size comparisons?

They should just refer to the caliber

I fire 120 mm high-explosive rounds

Relevant username.

That thing is nowhere near 2.5" dia.

I googled for 50 mm. That should be close enough.

2.5 inches is 635 mm. Thats much closer to 50 cm

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

1 inch is 25,4 mm, not 254 mm.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I am often incorrect. Today is one of those days

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That doesn't sound right to me. An inch has ~2.54 cm, so 2.5" should be 6.35 cm and a cm has 10mm, so that becomes 63.5mm

Lol, 2.5 inches is over 2 feet?
