1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.

I guess it will remain a mystery…
Just like the mystery of why captain planet was a popular show, yet NOBODY liked it. HOW THE HELL WAS IT POPULAR???
I liked Captain Planet.
Yeah... but also everything you post is false per your exact words, so that doesn't really get us anywhere.
That's only because they never stopped liking captain planet.
I liked it. That being said, there weren’t a lot of options in the 90s. It was 4pm on a Tuesday and your homework was done and you wanted to watch TV, there were like three options at best, unless you wanted to see Judge Judy or Dr. Phil, which I did not.
This makes 10 year old me cry through my 40 year old body.
My dad was mentally abusive, and an alchoholic. I was up every night from 3pm to 1am doing homework. Because my dad enjoyed being controlling. So he would make me do the same homework again, and again, and agsin, and again and again, and again, and agsin, and again and again, and again, and agsin, and again and again, and again, and agsin, and again and again, and.....again until I got it 100% right in his eyes. Which was less about being accurate, and more about him wanting to go to bed.
So, 4pm on a Tuesday, I would be in like round 2 of the same homework. Knowing I wouldn't be done for several hours.
I'm so sorry. I hope your life is happy now.
Damn. I'm sorry. I hope you find healing for that, expeditiously.
Seeing I_Fart_Glitter respond in a comment chain started by SatansMaggotyCumFart is a Lemmy moment I will remember for the rest of my days.
