I would be interested to know how much of Twitter's use was from these integrations. This could be an absolute drop in the bucket.

You're likely right. At the same time, consoles integrating Twitter made it look more legitimate, like a part of people's daily lives. Twitter's legitimacy continues to decline.

I used this exclusively to get screenshots off my switch easily. Still very happy about bigger companies cutting ties with the muskrat.

Getting screenshots or videos off the Switch is laughably arcane. Nintendo is so weird about modern tech conveniences.

It took Nintendo years to enable Bluetooth on the switch. The same tech the pro controller and joycons use. Years. Modders had it nearly day one of opening the console.

How do I get a screenshot to my phone?

  • Turn off WiFi, enable it to make a temp local wifi, scan a QR code. Then open a web page and download them.

PlayStation and Xbox:

  • You can just upload them to the network you already pay for, or put them on a flash drive.

Steam Deck: Syncthing automatically sends them to my computer :)

Syncthing is a god sent tool. Maybe I should use it for that if I can on my Xbox and Switch. I know I can for steam screenshots.
