Probably because of the Soviets. Dividing up Germany was not without risk. Soviet tanks and American tanks were parked across the boarders from each other with rounds ready to fire.
Are tech illiterate people intentionally using 3rd party software to change their default browser? Genuinely asking because I have always manually set my default on a new device.
I find that people generally use "this" and "next" correctly but it depends how the week is being perceived. I think it might depend what day of the week it currently is. Like if it's Sunday, someone might say "next Saturday" to mean the first coming Saturday. But if someone says "next Saturday" on a Thursday they definitely mean the second coming Saturday.
In order of frequency I would guess: Cuban, Colombian, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Argentina, and then the rest.
Interesting. I have never heard of coger being fuck and the only Spanish I speak is with latinamericans. Is it a more recent slang?
I thought it was saying that the actual tech companies were preparing to get attacked by the drones.
I think its common depending on the city. In university when I did a lot of walking at night with my friends, a streetlight would turn off at least every weekend. Now years later I'm living somewhere else I'm not walking around at night nearly as much but I do still notice it occasionally.
Same at my Costco. They have 6 or maybe even 9 "self checkouts" and each is manned by an employee who scans everything without removing anything from the cart. Its basically a compact checkout. Recently was in another area and the Costco had true self checkouts with weight sensors messing up and requiring employee overide and all. It was a pain in the ass.
Because the cities are named by European immigrants naming places after their home towns. It not very original but I guess its better than naming it after yourself
I think they don't want to waste time showing the apartment to prospective renters that aren't paying enough attention to the listing only for them to walk in, say " bathtub in the kitchen? No thanks."
So only Alabama actually observes it. It's the only one that closes state offices. Mississippi combines it with Memorial Day so technically there is a day off and they are diluting Memorial Day. I'm a Floridian and have never heard of his birthday being observed or mentioned. In contrast I actually get Juneteenth off.
