If you drop the SATA req and go for USB instead, you could use any small form factor machine like the ThinkCentre 715q or the likes. I have one of those with a Ryzen 2400 with 4x 8TB external disks. I've clocked the whole thing pulling ~50W at full tilt.

Prefer containers over VMs when possible, which is most of the time. You'd stretch your hardware much further than using VMs. I'm running 20 containers at the moment on an 1800X and I use the same machine as a gaming desktop. It's vary rare I can tell that there are resource-hungry services running while I'm actively using it. I can be playing CS2 while several Plex streams are being serviced. Even with some transcoding.

Do not issue a chargeback through your bank if you care about your Google account. They will close it. Talk to Google to resolve the payment issue.

These kind of things don't look good at all for security companies.

As it stands right now, we need those workers to be out of jobs and on the streets for protections to be considered. Otherwise "they have jobs," unemployment is low and the machine is "working as expected." Therefore nothing needs to be done.
