It's a federated protocol, but the network itself isn't meaningfully federated, and is basically just Bluesky (the company) infrastructure. Hopefully that changes, because until then, it's still a centralised social media platform, despite the underlying technology

Brendan Eich. He donated money anti marriage equality organisations and politicians, and half of the Mozilla board resigned when he was appointed as Mozilla CEO. He stepped down from that role after 11 days, and went on to found Brave.

He's also an anti-masker/pandemic conspiracy theorist

Aside from the transphobia and crypto shilling, I'm sure they're great

You'd expect any kind of ritualistic practice that widespread to have some sort of historical record related to the practice

carrying a bulky Z fold phone in my pocket only to be able to have a tablet once in a while and watch a movie is not interesting enough.

It suits my needs perfectly though! You can take my folding phone out of my cold dead hands

"Are cars always this awful" you ask, whilst shitting on the alternative...

In addition to the federation issues, make sure your language settings are correct. If you haven't included both your spoken languages and "Undetermined" in the language settings, then the UI will not display posts for the options you're missing

Offline hours? Is that something that happens often enough to need a work around?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

Yes, absolutely. But as I said, it's probably not as clear cut as whether you're XX or XY, because there are other factors that can also impact hormone levels and sensitivity to hormones

I'm curious about this. They say that it's related to in utero exposure to androgens, which means it's probably not as clear cut as XX vs XY, because intersex folk and folk with atypical hormonal exposure (such as fraternal twins of different sexes, with a shared placenta) experience different levels of exposure, and different reactions to that exposure.

We are running Navidrome to serve up our music, and I want to use smart playlists to listen to my music on "random", but in a way that surfaces higher rated songs more often. Doing it this way requires a smart playlist that contains other smart playlists.

Unfortunately, it seems that Navidrome smart playlists only allow me to include non smart playlists in my playlist. I've got a subsonic compatible Android client that does what I need (though it doesn't sync the playlists back to Navidrome), but what I need is a subsonic compatible windows client with the smart list within a smart list functionality, or a way of making Navidrome serve them up directly.

Has anyone found clients that support this, or found a way of making navidrome smart playlists within other smart playlists?
