If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.

Unfortunately the reason it won't happen. Is it will be seen as also an entrance tax.

Discouraging wealthy investors from settling in the UK.

And given most wealthy living in the UK manage to avoid taxes. Anything discouraging them from leaving is not really going to achieve much. They will just stay and find/fund other ways to avoid taxation.

The rich DO love slurping up all of our money and then living somewhere else where they don't have to pay any tax.

And the US after that facebook guy went to SGP prior to the IPO. It’s a little ew in my (personal) book — a cover charge to leave the bar if you still have money for more drinks, but hey …
