I doubt that.
I think that there are near-term things that have real value that one can build with existing approaches. However, I think that we are still a fair bit of research away from beating humans across the board.
Three years is "build a software package when you already know what you're doing", not "start on a grand research program" timescale.
Then again... it also could not happen shortly after 2027.

If so, then Politicians are likely to ban AI from participating in politics because they don't want competition to eat them up.
That's great. AI can deal with all the shit that humans have to do like working, and we can all chill out and take it easy.
Fuck I hope so. Humans should be replaced at everything by AI.
