You want the state to enforce the terms of your agreement, you put that agreement out in the open. No secret laws, and no secret laws-by-proxy.

Then you’d just have the police knocking whenever you used an aftermarket part. They’ll just force everyone to agree to them enforcing those contracts when they buy the product. After all, the EULA is given to everyone, has terrible shit in it, but people sign it anyways because if you don’t, you don’t get to use the product.
Any law pregraduate knows those EULAs are not valid in court.
This is already illegal, though.
Using third party parts/repairs is not cause to void a warranty in the US (Magnuson Moss), and most of Europe and Australia are stricter than the US is.
I love how our government allows foreign corporations abuse their citizens. Samsung is not the only one. Hyundai, Mercedes, Volkswagen.... Etc. They all fuck Americans sideways and our government is just watching.

Hey! That's exactly what Apple did when they came out with their third party repair programs! It's like the only difference between all these companies is how shit they are, not that they are shit.
I think it's that Apple did it and showed that the consumers will take the abuse so figured why not dip into it as well.
The use of aftermarket parts in repair is relatively common. This provision requires independent repair shops to destroy the devices of their own customers, and then to snitch on them to Samsung.
That's just pure evil and bully. If you have aftermarket parts they will destroy the device and force you to pay for it. This is the reason we need right to repair. Every consumer should support it.
For almost 20 years, Google's phones have been pretty friendly to ROM flashing. I suspect that so long as Apple and Samsung have such a large market share, that will continue.

As a former Authorized tech for all the big three phone manufacturers, including Google, I can tell you Google is not friendly to their customers. They’re a greedy, scum sucking piece of shit just like Apple and Samsung.
i went Pixel and never looked back. Samsung was the worst for me,not even considering that Knox crap.
Glad I ditched that shitty company years ago! Sony and Google phones are both way better to use anyways.
I wouldn't gasp in surprise if both Sony and Google have similar shady deals. Apple seems to.
Google is evil, although Pixels seem to be tolerable, especially for custom ROMs, ironically.
Sony phones are good but expensive.
At least with Google's Pixel phones you can flash your own OS like Graphene and totally de-Google it. I just hate that they don't support SD cards, that's absolute bullshit/greed on Google's part. Same with Apple.
The reasons for this are actually somewhat sound once you realize how fucking shit SD Cards actually are. They break/corrupt frequently and for no reason and it creates a ton of Customer Service hassle to tell people their photos are gone when they inevitably die.
Apple definitely has that kind of practices too.
