I didn't know they made Israel into a game!

There's actually an old DOS game called Conflict: Middle East where you're the more or less autocratic Prime Minister of Israel.

If memory serves, you can invade Lebanon, Syria, even Egypt, but you can't grant Palestine independence, only decide how much you'll spend on your military oppression of its people.

All in all depressingly realistic for such a simple game.

Sick game! Although it's either always a short game or I was a rubbish kid who couldn't work it out

Yeah, depending on rng, keeping it going for long before game over could be ridiculously difficult (but still super fun to try for). Once you hit that sweet spot where you had a big enough military to beat Egypt without anything else collapsing, though, everything would just become smooth sailing 😁

The Nahal Brigade, special ability to steal farm tiles and make them yours without any warmonger effects of sanctions. Probably also ability to laugh at war crimes allegations.
