check on your boomer relatives. is it just me or can any other people immediately tell an AI photo because of the lighting and Depth of field is always wrong? Like it's always off.

Just try to live my life like I did during all the bad presidents I've had over my life. I grew up protesting against George Bush Jr and my friends still died in Iraq. now I just try to live my best life, and love and help protect others. I've always been lower class and on the outside of middle class suburban America, so I'm used to just going about my life, no matter what's taboo, or illegal at the time. Hell, DnD was the devil when I was growing up and I still played it. I still smoked weed when it was illegal, and I'll still love a man even if they say I can't.

Yeah I guess I should revise my statement. I haven’t paid the full 60-70 price for AAA game in a very long time.

Indie games seem to be priced more fairly, most of the ones I’ve bought tend to be 20-25 dollars.

And I’ve never bought any kind of special edition, unless it’s an older game and it comes with all the dlc bundled, like oblivion GOTY edition or something.

But I’m also a /r/patientgamer so I don’t really see a reason to buy something just because it’s new and shiny, unless it’s some kind of multiplayer. But most of them have become such a quick burn where the player base drops after a year when the hype train moves to the next stop, I don’t really see the point in buying them

I’ve never paid full price for a game. Not in a very long time. And I don’t buy transactions. 🤷

What I’ve seen from the average person, torrenting safely is for techies and most aren’t bothered with the effort of it. It’s a low hurdle that most people don’t want to waste time on. Building a local collection takes a shit ton of time. I’m currently rebuilding my music collection to roll my own music streaming server and I’m questioning the time value. But I’m sick of music I like getting deplatformed due to licensing

I’m holding my judgment on AI assisted content. I already feel ai writing and image generation is still shitty, I’m less interested in something more complex like a video game.

Also, my 20+ years in the workforce has taught me that large and small companies suffer the same exact problems and both are greedy. Ai will be used to not hire workers, but to increase worker output , not lighten their load.

I trust indie companies to maybe make better content, but I expect them to rip off workers.

Not that I’m defending EA. There’ve ruined so many franchises.

The problem is, we need caps on profit margins on necessities, and to stop the making of things we need for basic survival investment opportunities.

But that would be difficult to get done. So they go for the low hanging fruit of wages, which never permanently solve anything because they’ll just keep raising prices under this scamflation cycle we’ve been in since COVID.

That sounds like a nightmare. I would only discord for conversational communication at most. How does that even work?
