Just sell it and get an Android if iOS isn't working for them. No reason to go through all that extra trouble trying to make iOS like Android when it isn't.

Only subscriptions that make sense to me a cloud based ones that can't function at all without access to the internet due to not being able to retrieve content needed to function. Examples that come to mind are netflix and spotify, since even though you can download content to watch or hear offline you need internet to retrieve new content. Means there are hosting costs, and I'm basically paying to not host all that content myself.

But, anything else doesn't make sense to me. If app wants to charge again then they can do another version release, and let people keep using the old version if they want while stopping updates for it. I don't do subscriptions.

I wouldn't even know because I don't see ads on my phone or pc.

I modded my switch once they started the online subscription. It's a really great jailbreak experience. Got ability to export saves too.

It's the best we've got unlike the rather ridiculous proposals of backing up their own games some have made. Average person does not have the storage or the determination to digitize everything and keep it safe in case of corruption with multiple back ups.

Even then in a worst case scenario due to the open platform piracy is a possibility. That's where some of the peace of mind comes from compared to purchasing of digital goods for a closed system.

But people pay thousands for cars and still end up the product. I don't think paying guarantees privacy anymore and if anything is an outdated concept that gives people a false sense of security if they still buy into it. Data collection is the rage now.

I wish people didn't care about downvotes. Always hated the edits on reddit reacting to being downvoted. Would downvote comments I agreed with too if they whined about votes.

I haven't found a good alternative to going directly to YouTube when it comes to resolution offerings on desktop.

Most importantly they are simping for Google and acting as though YouTube is an independent company with its own separate stocks and unaffiliated under the Google monolith.
