How about “fuck fuck games”?

I always assumed it was a loan word from Japanese. TIL.

More single purpose instances

Yeah! When sites no longer exist or have reorganized so that pages aren’t where they were… the wayback machine becomes very useful!

This meme might not age well. Biden doesn’t look so good in the debate so far.

So, Lower Decks but for LOTR?

If they don’t individually own the property but pay for upkeep and there is no landlord… that’s a housing cooperative, no?

If you get investing returns (like from shorting those companies)… you’re ironically not eligible to use the IRS direct file pilot (or at least for this year).

Edit: this isn’t to knock direct file… which is good and cool (and should be expanded to have more features)

What a sad state of affairs that such a site is even necessary. The internet was supposed to make finding information easier, not some increasingly kafkaesque tug of war.

Thank you for posting that though. It should come in handy.

For background, this post on db zero provides background on what is going on.

Lemmy.world had to shutdown a community and temporary restrict signups, other instances have purged image caches, and dbzer0 is using a scanner to prevent images from being uploaded if the get flagged.

It looks like when logged in, instead of loading comments, it gives a 500 error in the comment box.

Edit: It looks like they fixed it. Thank you @SDF!

I noticed that lemmy.world and slrpnk.net host old.lemmy.world and old.slrpnk.net and I was wondering if there was any interest in doing that here. Personally, I think it meshes with the SDF vibe.

Edit: this would be in addition to regular Lemmy

Edit 2: it looks like they added it at old.lemmy.sdf.org. Thank you @[email protected]!
