zoo bosses hailing the breeding programme "a success"

...a terrifyingly horrible success.

As if online shopping substitutions aren't already a lottery.

In all seriousness though, better something more recyclable like a beer can than those plastic pouches. There should be a law that says if packaging doesn't need to be plastic then it shouldn't be. Bring back metal toothpaste tubes, glass milk bottles, and those weird waxy paper bags they used to have inside cereal boxes.

I'll get my walking stick and see myself out.

Nothing says opulence like infinite reflections of yourself having a shit.

Instructions unclear. Used my phone to light up the wick but nothing happened.

Yeah. 11th gen Framework 13, so one of the first ones. Since I got it I had to use Windows exclusively because of some client work, and battery life was pitiful. 2-3 hours perhaps? Once that project finished I swapped out the SSD and put on Ubuntu with KDE. I was expecting the batter life to be worse, but it is demonstrably better. I now get more like 6 hours, albeit with my power plan on efficiency.

Switching from Windows to Linux on my Framework laptop makes my battery last 2-3 times as long. They should just have a switch to Linux recommendation to reduce your carbon footprint.

"These counterfeit phones, Cohen said, were either out of warranty or contained counterfeit parts, but Apple "wrongly" believed that they were real phones under real warranties"

So not counterfeit. Just real iPhones that were out of warranty or has been repaired by a third party.

I just went cold turkey because I can't/won't watch content with ads, and already felt the cost of our streaming services was too much for what we get out of it.

What I've found myself doing is if I do buy from Amazon and it's below the free shipping amount, I try and buy from a marketplace seller who ships themselves for free. Often this ends up matching the Prime price, but it's buried further down the result because it doesn't have Prime shipping. Or I buy the same product via eBay, which is mostly cheaper. But main thing is, I've found I just buy less. Like A LOT less. As a family we'd often get 3 or 4 Amazon deliveries a week. That's not been replaced with orders from other retailers. It's almost as if having Prime encourages you to buy stuff you maybe don't need!
