It's not a problem until more sites start REQUIRING it, and then it's too late. Even if some Apple already provides it, it's more dangerous as use grows
Try a Pixel rather than a Samsung. Despite being from Google (whose main schtick is advertising) it's a pretty clean experience, while my family members' Samsung and LG (who have since exited the market) devices have pre-installed, unremovable apps, stupidly hard-coded configs and - esp in the case of Samsung - often seem add new bullshit in after updates.
Samsung in particular pisses me off given how they charge a premium for devices that are full of intrusive bullshit.
They have some additional services they advertise that supposedly deals with these, though I'd imagine they require installed software which would give them more visibility into systems than I'm comfortable with.
For trackers and to some extent malware, they could potentially block some by disallowing outgoing traffic from the VPN to known tracker IP's/domains or C&C hosts/networks, but I could see that being fairly infectivity overall with potentially for false positives.
Well they specifically calls out ISP's, rather than the media companies running forums or social media, etc.
The latter SHOULD be policing their platforms to some extent, but ISP's can't even do so without being pretty invasive/authoritarian, so they should stick to providing internet service.
Can you clarify what you consider "cheap", and maybe other features you're looking for?
There are definitely a lot of oversize vehicles in North America and trucks do have high sales, there's still plenty of people driving decent sized Japanese vehicles (Toyota, Honda).
I do agree that the "F350 to drive to work and do grocery runs" crap is dumb as fuck though.
Yeah, and Nvidia is pretty guilty for time and time again trying to lock people into proprietary solutions, while AMD introduces public standards like (Freesync comes to mind)
Shouldn't it be the opposite? If demand is low, then prices should correspondingly be down until adoption increases.
Certainly the opposite is often used to just y increasing prices
Ugh, wait what? Why would anyone even do that with a VPN?
Seems to be an increasingly rare thing these days from VPN providers. Mullvad recently dropped it, but it does look like ExpressVPN may still support it
Probably wouldn't put it on toast (often) but I'll bet it's great on ribs etc
