I buy thick reusable and washable ziploc-like bags like these instead.
I still have a couple of disposable ones in case I need to give it to someone and don't expect to get it back.

Not requiring an email is going to increase the moderation workload on the admins since it will become a prime target for spammers and trolls, and if not adequately moderated the instance might get defederated from the major instances.

Also, connecting an access point that doesn't broadcast its SSID has another side effect: all devices configured to connected to it will periodically broadcast a signal to search for that hidden AP instead, so it makes you even easier to track down anywhere else.
So good luck figuring out which one you need to remove if you need to do a cleanup.
