This is my most common use. It is grrat for opening large log files on servers.

My last two TVs were dumb ones.

It is getting harder find dumb TVs because the smart stuff included with most TVs subsidizes keeping the initial price low. Manufactures are betting millions of dollars purchasers will sign up for the monthly apps.

It’s not a web app (not certain why op requested that bit),

I'm looking for something I can use on my desktop and my phone. I currently use Windowz but slowly migrating to Linux.

I guess it doesn't necessarily need to be web enabled as long as there is a way to use it in Windows and Linux.

I need a diary that works as an Android app and a web app. Ideally when I type something it automatically gets a time stamp.

Asking here because I want something private.

Does such a thing exist?

edit - Thank you for all the responses!! I did not expect so many replies.

The reason I said web app is because I’m looking for something I can use on my desktop and my phone. I use my desktop much more than my phone. While I currently use Windowz, I'm slowly migrating to Linux.

I feel the same. If I try to install a different ROM and it falls I could be without a phone for a bit.

Forums are alive and well when looking for car info. Whenever I get a different car I look for communities with the most activity and that is usually a forum.

The one exception I can think of (proving the post to be true) is the first generation Tundra (2000-2007). The FB group had more current news than the forums and I managed to get banned (first time ever).

They are called "Wireless" headphones when there is a wire connecting them. "True Wireless" means two separate earbuds.

Agreed.

I now need to root my Android and put a new OS so it stops telling Google where I am. I'm slightly afraid as I just want my phone to work when I need it.

I'm sure T-Mobile uses my location data for something too.

This scene immediately popped into my head.

I have a few accounts for this purpose. I know at least one service I've had forwarded for years.

I jumped ship from most g- products years ago. I really should log into my accounts again and have anything necessary sent directly to my real email.
