I remember my colleague days when I stopped using USBs in favor of Dropbox, I felt I was living in the future.

Do you have this in your exemptions?

Add this in your exemptions and test it.

Fair, but I still want something on the left.

Are you using a Pi Hole or any tool that blocks ads though the DNS?

Pretty much the only thing you can do nowadays with root is install tweaks that hide the fact that you have root from other apps lol.

While it is true that you can install those modules to hide it, I wouldn't say they are the only reason to stick rooting lol, a lot of apps work way better with root permissions, Battery Guru, FKM and AdAway are 3 good examples that I can think of right away.

With root?

  1. Having a superior backup and restore method, Swiftbackup rooted is way better than Google's solution.

  2. Hassle free ad-less YouTube (and YT music) the root apps (Magisk or KSU) come with a way to auto update, so, from the user side I just hit update and I am good to go, no need to waste time patching the apks myself.

  3. I can replace the Google news from the side/left menu with whatever app I like, in my case, the Feeder app.

I can go on, but you just asked for 3.

I moved to Android for the 1st time ever in 2020 from an iPhone 6s.

The device I decided to go with is a Poco F2 Pro which lost official support years ago, it has decent hardware and even the battery still holds up (with a good custom ROM, I still achieve 8 hrs of SOT).

It just took me about a year, or perhaps less to move to the custom ROM scene, and for me I can't ever go back to stock Android ever, even when it is a big step regarding iOS features (except for LS customization) the amount of stuff you can do with rooted android device is no joke.

My only regret is that I was never in the prime days of rooting... At least Telegram communities are super active, not that it is better... But personally I prefer it to discord lol.

I was in the prime days of jailbreaking though, too bad that they seem to be doing worse nowadays.

Short answer: yes.

Medium answer: yes because I want to not use Sync for Reddit to get into anime, Plex/Kodi/Stremio/Real Debrid/Arr stack, and handhelds communities.

I could care less about trending shit and reels reposting... But that is the downside of exponential growth I guess.

Do you know if I need to reconfigure my folders?

I guess if the transition is not smooth there is still time for them to adapt something until the very end...

On another hand, it seems like we all deposited all our eggs in one basket huh?

I really can't think of many Synching replacements... Even when I know there are a few.

I can take that argument but also, how is that people is that unaware of how to do these kinds of process, many of those people study or work in something that relates with tech, are you telling me it is just because they didn't learn of use it in their earlier days?

Also, it is way easier to pirate nowadays than before, that evolved too you know?

I'd say the biggest culprit is laziness... Or entitlement.

I'd love that it had the feature that Feeder has to fetch incomplete RSS articles and put them in a nice view... Only because of that I have used Feeder more as of lately (still Feedly is my main RSS source).

Long time Kodi and Plex user, it was a matter of time that I started messing around with this.

Hi, as soon as I noticed this was a thing I headed to this community to let anyone else know that you can use the newest sort types in the Sync for Lemmy app with that nice workaround... But I just found a lot of "Sink and Sync threads" here that I actually thought the sort bugged my app/feed lol, what a good timing.

Anyway I hope this is useful for you guys until the new update arrives... Soon ^TM

This is the app called Franco Kernel Manager, one of the best kernel managers that are out there... Even when it was outdated (which I think that's the cause it got booted from the PlayStore?).

I used it to check the process of my phone and monitor the active and idle drain mostly, I paid for it a long time ago, but now it just fails to check the licence and it doesn't let me use it fully... I think there must be a cracked APK over there...

EDIT:

Fortunately the app is back in the store and hopefully that update version comes soon enough!

Fuck my prior preparation day with the Chromecast with Google TV before the hotel checking....

I don't travel too often so my Chromecast needed some tweaking (AKA updating system and apps etc), I like to take it as a travel companion and found out this shitty frame around the TV.

It is the first time it happened to me, I can see this being annoying for frequent travelers.

I have been a user of Real Debrid for some time now and looking how easy it is to watch whatever the heck you want with light apps such as Stremio a sudden doubt came to me, how does these Debrid services even get to be that stable and copyright free?

I mean are they playing that "we offer a cloud service" flag? Because even old school services such as MediaFire and Mega who I guess say they are personal cloud services get some files flagged too...

Or is it only that their user base ain't as big as the aforementioned services? I don't even know if this is true yet, I am a RD user more nowadays.

Relay for Reddit app stays as one of the few remaining third party apps for Reddit and they are forced to go to a subscription model but the cost of such a subscription is related to how many API calls per user are done.

This screenshot was taken from the yet working patched Sync for Reddit app.

If this was an old Android game it would only be a matter of downloading the APK I guess?

I only have an iPad from the 7th generation in its latest OS version, MacBook Pro with Big Sur and an Android phone.

I resort in piracy for this kind of needs (or emulation), since this is an old game and Jailbreak is pretty much dead am I out of luck this time?
