In Marxism, the base (material/economic conditions) is what the superstructure (social/cultural/political conditions) is generated by. Societies organise themselves around the resources available and the division of labour required to utilise them. Marxism's social observations are all rooted in that mediation of the material environment.

I had a premonition that you will one day drown taking a bath because you're too stupid to know which way is up.

Describe "Marx's theorem" without paraphrasing wikipedia. This is nonsensical and as an adult you're supposed to read about the things you choose to talk about. Linnaeus lived three centuries ago, but would you throw out taxonomy? Is the scientific method outdated because Francis Bacon wouldn't know a thing about modern science? People build on the epistomological and ontological frameworks to make a living tradition.

England should be disqualified for filling every waterway with shit. It's like a performance-enhancing drug if you only have to swim in a little bit of it.

Thank you for transcribing a better version. Reading over the agriculture section it seems fascinating.

How frustrating. I can't seem to find a paper copy of this book for sale anywhere. There's an archived copy online which seems really interesting: https://archive.org/details/this-soviet-world/page/173/mode/2up

I similarly like that feminist theory of Venus statues. They aren't dummy thicc proto-porn but the perspective of someone who's pregnant looking down at their reflection in a river and cataloguing the most dangerous/important point of their life.

Hell yeah, the high winds which have me in a red flag wildfire warning have temporarily lowered the AQI to 18. It's normally like 60 and if that wildfire happens it will spike to 150-250 for several weeks.

It was fun at its high point. The problem was like you said, always the same map. Shipping costs run like $20-150+ and that's a month's wage in many of the countries that have interesting snacks we aren't already over-saturated with. Scams were only ever like 5% of trades at most and we never had a poisoning though, so overall a successful prototype of the thing that would work.
