Even if they decided to do it themselves, they'd spin up a subsidiary to do the actual banking. No way Apple would want their retail stores having to live up the the rather strict standards of banks.

There are several companies working on solar covers for reservoirs. I agree, seems like a win win. Reduce evaporation and have a large, level, "field" for solar arrays.

I've never heard it called foreskin, that's pretty funny, but FYI, the proper term is "boot". And I'm a big fan of no boots in the rack. They are nice for desks and places cables might be rearranged constantly, but in switches and backs of servers they just slow you down.

Am I misunderstanding you or are you saying that vaccines are causing cancer? Because if that is what you are saying, what are you smoking?

Nope. It can be cloud if you want it to, but generally, you can host your own controller. I run the controller in a docker container, personally.

I'd suggest looking into the Unifi product line. They have products that meet your needs and then some. I believe the company is based out of the EU so you are likely good in imports.

One thing nobody has mentioned here is that paying users devalue the ads for non-paying users. Paying users are more likely to have desposableincomee, and are more valuable to advertisers. If advertisers know that the only people being shown ads are those without the money to buy their products, they won't be willing to buy the ad space.

That's actually what it has kinda came to mean. Lots of Streaming services are called "Plus", even if they don't have a separate non-free version.

Although I agree it is risky, emoji are unicode characters, just like any other unicode character. If, and that's a big if, the programmers do their job right, it shouldn't matter if you use an emoji or a random kanji. It's all just another character. That said, I don't trust programmers enough to run the risk. Your password might work fine on the website but then fail on the mobile app.

Someone else said "good luck on the desktop", but Windows actually has an emoji picker built right in. Win+. will bring it up. Another fun fact, usernames and computer names both support the full unicode set on Windows, including emoji. Some fun can be had with that knowledge. I haven't tried it on Linux or MacOS yet.

Perhaps your car has poor Android Auto, but for me it works great. I bought an after market stereo which included wireless android auto. No more random disconnects when the usb-c cable is bumped. I turn my car on and within a few seconds my phone automatically connects. Its simple, does the job of giving me media control and maps from my phones, and at least on my 4 year old after market head unit runs real smooth.

Car manufacturers keep cheaping out in the wireless though. So dumb for what is probably $5 in additional costs.

The problem with WordPress and the like is maintenance. If you don't keep it up to date, it will get taken by malware. Guaranteed. Any plugins you add increase the risk.

I moved my blog to a markdown based compiled site a long time ago so I didn't have to worry about that upkeep.
