Works well enough that it's still one of the major video hosting platforms.

The part you miss is "you sell" part. Unlike youtube, where it solves both monetization and content delivery for you, Vimeo, AFAIK, doesn't do any monetization and focuses enterely on content delivery. You pay for the service, and how you monetize the content is entirely up to you. May be the ad deal with NORD SHADOW MANSCAPED, may be donations. Or, the video may be promoting your own business, which seems to be the most common use case - as a business you don't want a competitor's ad on a video which purpose is to promote your own.

Unpopular opinion: They should've just started charging big creators, kind of like Vimeo. Mofos be having youtube ads, sponsorships, built-in ads, courses, merch stores and patreon, and then they whine when youtube wants them to comply with advertiser's demands.

Me, after spending an entire day making sure we don't set any cookies until we get consent and actually need them, while fighting off managers who want to install a spyware X, Y and Z just to track the amount of sales, visiting random ass page that could've been entirely replaced by just an image, seeing half-page banner saying "we have already set cookies, serviceworker and all of the trackers because the internet does not work without them" be like: Fuck you, Artemiy, my site works fine even without javascript and no cookie header at all. It's only yours that shits itself at any mention of privacy.

Alt+SysRq+F, needs to be enabled first

Do note that this opens up a security hole. Since this can kill any app at random and is not interceptable, if you leave your PC in a public place, someone could come up and press this combo a few times. Chances are, it'll kill whatever the locking app you're using.

You don't realize how scarce trash cans there are until you start smoking.

That's why I became enlightened and switched to vaping. Now I can stop worrying about trashcans and just pour chemicals straight into the ground (and into my own pockets). 256 IQ move right there, so smart it overflows back to 0.

Nothing, and they do just that. No labor laws apply to contractors and it's practically the only way some of them can earn a decent wage, so striking is futile - they'll just switch to other contractors.

I'm fine with USA politics, because they got their hands up in everyone's asses so it affects everyone.

What bothers me more is American football. Nobody except them even plays this game but it's all over the news every time there's a major event. Same for baseball.

It's true that gender issues are not even something that is talked about currently in Russia. But I'm just using the example from OP post to talk about linguistic features here. For me and I think most English speaking folk it might sound confusing whether Spanish grammatical gender implies person's gender and threw example in Russian where it doesn't have to - I can talk about you in male, female, or neutral gender. It only depends on which words I use and which endings they have.

Are there any spanish people? Is it based on person's gender or the following word's gender?

e.g. in Russian, "nebinarniy chelovek" means nonbinary human but in male declension because the word human itself is male, and "nebinarnaya persona" is female because the word person is female. We also have "nebimarnoye litso" where "litso" is face or a person and it's a third gender literally called soulless and beloved by police and lawyers because its dehumanizing

Like locksmiths who have produced locks with the same flawed design for six millennia now, and instead of fixing it, they're still keeping the act and even went after whistleblowers before.
