They are rewarding you with premium (i.e. some extra features in the app) for relaying sms and exposing your phonenumber to strangers ig?
I swear these dumb bureaucrats and politicians would've banned torrent, tor, etc. too if it was possible.
It was never a problem for me atleast. If you are using magisk, you can hide it right away from the app.
On the other hand X is banning accounts of farmer leaders in India who are protesting against the govt. So much for free speech?
Imagine secure apps being forced to give some parts of their users data to proprietary apps. Besides its too tricky to implement, like every app would be forced to use the same protocol as the proprietary app (specifically in messaging)
