Not sure what the private media/journalism ownership is here, one of the many things I keep meaning to inform myself about. Obviously the BBC is meant to be an independent, unbiased source of information. In Canada the CBC fulfills the same niche. Neither are safe from outside pressure, or lazy reporting.
The vast majority of private journalism media in Canada is owned by Canadian media holding conglomerate Postmedia(bit too on the nose if you ask me). It's in turn 66% owned by American Media Conglomerate Chatham Asset Management. It's a bit of a piss take, as media in Canada is meant to be majority Canadian ownership. But there it is.

90% of the people I know who use kindle products all OTA their purchases to their device. If they have "illicit" books on their devices, I put them there.
I think the disappointment probably came about 5 minutes after unboxing, and news of the shut down would be more relief than disappointment
I've got the Honor Magic V3, it's the 2 panel version of the OP device. I've had it for 6 months now, no complaints so far. I'm a stone mason, loooooots of super fine dusts of varying degrees of caustic. I got a slightly more robust case than what came with it, and I'm a bit more careful about what pocket I keep it in. I've dropped it over a dozen times, and mangled the hinge on one case already. But like you, I've had regular phones start failing around now, and this one is still fine. I feel like the first and 2nd gen foldables were where most of the kinks were worked out, and now they're only slightly more delicate in very specific ways compared to a regular slab phone.
Americans would still get confused. Refer to ⅓lb>¼lb burger, flopped because Muricans claim weird fraction math for length is superior....yet still cannot fraction their way out a wet paper bag....
American kept the worst bits of British culture when they broke up, but they're still really good pals and feel like they should trade ideas back and forth all the time. Hope that the Cheeto pulling a Fascist coup puts a bit of separation between them.
