I believe it was this video by Veritasium that I was thinking of that explains how we got switches to think. Modern computers use the same principles. Just instead of physical switches, they use semiconductor switches. Which is were the rocks come into play. Semiconductors, in supper brief nut shell, are on the verge of conducting and need a little nudge of voltage to start conducting. Hence the semi part.

In most languages, length method doesn't count the null terminator. Might result in some fun memory errors

Have you looked at Cost Plus Drugs? I have been using them for a while and they have been super reliable. If the have your meds, it's the cheapest option available.

I wouldn't read too much in to it. I have recently received false positives on GoG emails. I suspect Google would much rather have a whole bunch of false positives than one missed positive. Bad PR and such.
