I need you to write an article detailing your experience. Most importantly I need to know if it was fun.

Thanks for trying to bring an alternative perspective to the table.

Neither argument is very compelling. A) is like "if I can't have nice things, no one can", and think about those arguments against loan forgiveness or healthcare. B) is wishful thinking game companies will charge what people are willing to pay no matter how many copies are sold. And unlike physical goods, the cost per digital license doesn't really much if more copies are sold so expected sales volume doesn't affect costs much in that sense. Piracy itself also doesn't incur any cost (other than mythical lost sales), while Denuvo and other anti circumvention technology does.

How about doing interviews to assign Tesla supercharger design work as takehome tests?

For anyone else that didn't read the article (or can't hear words in parentheses because they are too quiet):

According to a report from 404 Media, some of those players have been adding fake beaches to OpenStreetMap so they could have easier access to the beach biome in Pokémon Go (though the game Go initially used Google Maps data, it apparently switched to OpenStreetMap at some point in 2017).

Tesla, in their infinite wisdom, cut entire departments that these interns were going to be hired into, so it's not surprising that those positions are being cut.

It really is a feels bad for students getting shutout of an internship at a famous company, and paying moving and housing expesnes. At least they can put "too good for Tesla" on their LinkedIn bio lol.

I know the FOSS fans within our community don't like the terms of Grayjay. That said we have options like NewPipe, ytdlp, nvidious, Libretube, etc. which are FOSS and AFAIK each have different extraction mechanisms, so one change on the page end can't reliably shut down every method. I get that Louis is against Sponsorblock and his personal feelings and morals influence the direction of the software too.

The Grayjay app is a bit more like Shareware, Louis himself described his app's monetization scheme like an infinite free trial. He knows many people are going to use it for free. He knows that others will pay the one time payment for a license, and it doesn't necessarily have to be linked to the install or anything.

The thing is that diversity in the space makes us stronger in the face of the gigantic monolith that Google is. His repair foundation or whatever that was means that he has a few more resources pooled together than the rest of us to put up a legal fight that in the end will hopefully effect change that helps all of us.

No, I don't avoid it. I love to discuss with my fellow impassioned Lemmy users be it politics or any other topic and I don't mind being heavily downvoted once in a while.

Idk I sometimes I write a comment thinking no one would take it seriously, but I read it and it's something a troll would try to put through as genuine. Lemmy is overall left leaning and a bit of a hivemind but has diverse perspectives and passionate voting so I need to put the s in those cases to be clear.

In real life you set sarcasm with the tone of voice. The s marker is the prompt to read the comment back again in that voice.

This person was building up relevant experience to earn that goose farmer promotion by moving to Chehalis, WA.

Father Justin, will you trade my 25 Diplomatic Favour for 20 horses please?

That's the crazy thing. He is letting the entire division go instead of just replacing the head he might have had a problem with. So now the good workers and the bad workers if there are such, are all being flushed out of the Tesla toilet.

Walking around may violate federal law. Depends on where.
