I'll happily participate with light-hearted content but otherwise I mostly feel like you when it comes to any polarising topics like politics, etc. I wish there were more content about my areas of expertise so I could participate in that but alas there's mostly developer stuff only. Maybe I'm also not doing my best curating my feed since I tend to mostly browse all.

As someone that's more than dabbled in making music, the best tracks I made all came out rather quickly, they still needed a lot of work to finish/polish but tracks that I would spend hours coming up with the core elements would usually be trash and end in the bin, the good stuff would just....happen.
Mate I'll have done a 3D reconstruction of the room accurate to the mm to test everything out. I'm only slightly exaggerating, I literally did exactly that when planning my new office/studio, had the room in 3D long before we got the house, built everything myself, custom desk, acoustic treatment, etc.
