Are you talking about broker taking commission when buying and selling stock? They provide service of buying/selling and the commission is the service fee. Why is it not their labor?

When such acquisitions are happening all what happens is that the stock/shares of one company (Activision/Blizzard in this example) is replaced by the stock/shares of another company (MS in this example) and the purchasing price is simply another way of discussing the stock exchange ratio. Company can have zero money to do that.

Apples laptops and phones are great in terms of hardware. Moreover software and ecosystem is fine tuned to that hardware (and vice verse). I understand if you do not like closeness of the system, but let’s not pretend that hardware is “meh”. It is very competitive in the same price bracket. I actually did an exercise few years ago - tried to find one to one spec windows vs MacBook Pro (this is where Marvin is, right)? Tough luck, windows machines were more expensive!

Let's not pretend that the border patrol (including the wall where it makes sense) is not part of illegal immigration the solution. Any country should be able to control who enters its borders.
As for cartels, drug legalization in US will go long way. Investments into Mexico economy is another path. Cartels, are not ideological enemies like jihadists/terrorists. Give them opportunities to earn money safely and more profitable in legal ways and they will disappear.

Moving numbers or information representing anything or nothing is a service processed to the one who purchased the service - to the person or institution that wants to buy or sell stock. Why is it not labour? Do you not count sales person actions in a store as labour?
