I’m not worried about Google blocking it but rather the app I use to say, “hey something weird is going on with this phone better block/ban that account.

I know the risk is minimal, but it’s not could be a huge disruption to my income, so it’s just not worth it.

Here is my problem with a nonstandard operating system on a phone.

A rely on it to run my very small business. I don’t want to get blocked by an app I rely on or suddenly have it stop working due to running an unofficial operating system.

So it’s either stock Android or stock iOS. iOS I’d say is more private than Android, so I stick with them.

The fanboys make me angrier than Apple. It’s so frustrating to discuss something with someone who is so brainwashed.

I intend to buy it, but I wanted to see how it runs on steamdeck first.

Sorry, I was not very clear. I was speaking generally about how this process works to demonstrate that it has nothing to do with app stores.

It has nothing to do with third party app stores.

Someone made an app that was genuinely very good. Then a company wanted to buy the app. The developer sold the app. The company loaded it with whatever spyware they wanted and pushed it in an update.

Now the app is garbage. Sadly it happens all the time. It happened to me right after I bought a year subscription to private internet access.

But to be clear this can happen on any platform or App Store official or not.

I can't find a way to run any of these on my homeserver and access it over http. It looks like it is possible but you need a gui to install it in the first place.

I’m not a CEO, but I’m starting a very small company. I have been able to use AI in various way to help me quickly do some work and not need to hire people or commission someone do to the work for me. I still have someone I work with regularly, but instead of having two people. One person plus AI can do the work just fine.

I wouldn’t even consider a port scan a hack.

It’s just like a thief looking at your home to see if there are any windows or doors open.

On top of that their expensive phones are full of bloat.

I don’t know how anyone cat this price point considered anything other than an iPhone for Pixel.

I’m so lucky, my gym membership auto cancels if I don’t pay in advance.
