Those are fundamental features of the current system. If you want to suggest a copyright system that does protect smaller creators from bad actors but doesn’t allow the mega-corps to bully and control everyone, then feel free. But until such a system is implemented it see no reason to defend the current one which is actively harmful to the vast majority of creators.

Copyright is a scam anyway so who cares?

Shit I forgot libraries offer this service. Even better.

Why would anyone buy such a printer? You could just go to a print shop at that point. Though honestly that’s already what I do so maybe it’s for the hikikomori or something. I don’t know why the home printer still exists in this day and age.

Regardless of you feel about them, website operators must abide by them in most jurisdictions. And therefore it would be naive for Lemmy’s developers to not at least consider this issue.

Well, at minimum, instance operators could find themselves in legal jeopardy if they do not, depending on their local laws.

Many people would also make a moral argument for the enforcement of certain laws, but I infer from your comment that you don’t agree with such ideas.

What happens when the casing get punctured? When you mass produce these devices these things will happen.

None. I can’t believe how much money people spend on these things.

No need to fight, they’re both trash.

An idea I’ve had for a while would be to have some kind of direct democratic method for designing new sets or cards, and for rebalancing or banning them if need be. I think it would be doable if you could achieve a critical mass of people. The custom magic subs on Reddit could basically form a functional game on their own.

I mean it’s capitalism so what do you expect? Then again I think most people know extremely little about the industry and have opinions based mostly on puritanical views on sex. So I usually don’t like to feed that nonsense by extra criticism when there are many other industries that are far more worthy of criticism.

I’m surprised they didn’t mention us at all. I wonder how many people actually made the transition as a result. I think it’s fewer than many people here want to believe but surely it’s more than dozens?
