Pretty much for form I suppose, there are other ways to get those drivers.

I've been in a few online games with RU players and it struck me as so weird to be playing a game with someone from a nation we are basically at war with. Major WWI Xmas football vibes.

An advanced finglonger.

Pretty telling when the only way you can get your users to "upgrade" is by stealth. I wonder what the % of involuntarily upgraded win11 users is vs people who knowingly and willingly did so.

It's called a honeypot. They even ran CP servers in the past (after taking them over from the actual admins, in order to unmask the users).

True, but that power is also diminished greatly as more and more regular users abandon the site. No eyes on the propaganda makes it worth a lot less.

Somewhat, but the way federated instances are set up, it's not nearly as bad or easily abused. Not as if making a new Reddit account was that much of a roadblock, either. They accept 10minutemail addresses.

Canceled my sub as a means of protest. I used it for research and testing purposes and 20$ wasn't that big of a deal. But I will not knowingly support this asshole if whatever his company produces isn't going to benefit anyone other than him and his cronies. Voting with our wallets may be the very last vestige of freedom we have left, since money equals speech.

I hope he gets raped by an irate Roomba with a broomstick.

My mancave is a former coal cellar. I themed it, well, former coal cellar. It has a desk and a pc inside, but that's it.

It's simply ragebait. It's a global phenomenon but I'd say Reddit embraced it as their primary feature, even more so than gd Facebook.

I'm not immune to it either, though my brand of ragebait is more in the /collapse and /antiwork spheres.

This already happened. People looking up CPR instructions because a loved one is dying, only to be met with three unskippable ads.

Goodbye Meemaw.

I concur. Let's see some positive things. Lord knows I need it.

Sure, that's definitely a country that needs more wishy washy magic crap on top of all their current issues.

Guess I'll die 😬
