I'm short-sighted and on our mechanical scale, I can't see the thin lines to count out the precise kilos.
At first, I was bothered by that, but yeah, in addition to natural weight fluctuations, just bouncing a bit on the scale would stop it at different kilos, so eventually I considered it more of a feature that I couldn't tell precisely.

Hmm, how would they buffer it, if you've got multiple household members? Or are we talking about those weird scales that require an app?

That's certainly possible, but it's only lukewarm open-source. People can prefer spicy licenses.

Ah, you mean that because diesel cars have more torque, you can do things like starting uphill with just the clutch.

I was wondering, because I certainly didn't opt for a handbrake start for the fun of it. My car's engine simply died, if I lifted the clutch too far without accelerating and 'too far' was far below getting enough torque to not roll downhill.

Or you find out everyone gets this 'rare' item in the tutorial.

The others already pointed out that there's a global, rising trend of climate disasters. I would like to qualify:

• This year did exceed everyone's expectations. It's the first year of El Niño after years of increasing temperatures, so while it didn't come as a complete surprise, it could still be an anomaly.

• If you ask climate scientists, they'll tell you lots of climate change effects that could contribute to these wildfires, but yeah, ultimately, they'll say they won't know for sure until they've seen the following years.

However, these are raging wildfires all around the globe, in regions that don't normally have them and that aren't linked to each other. At some point, it stops being "a wildfire somewhere" and starts to become a statistic.

Surface-level ocean temperatures are significantly higher this year, globally, than in previous years. We can't explain such a global increase without climate change. And obviously, warm water evaporates differently, leading to unusual weather patterns, leading to droughts, which increases the likelihood of wildfires.

So, yeah, while the snowball is simply irrelevant to the topic, the wildfire statistic correlates with all our other statistics. You'd have to ignore a ton of evidence to not attribute the wildfires to climate change until proven differently.

I mean, lots of those strangers on the interwebs come from Europe and such, who may very well be aware of Georgia...

Yesterday, I took a bus to a shop in the next city over and got lucky to come out of the shop just a few minutes before the bus went back the other way. The bus driver gave me a look, too, like, didn't I just drop you off right here 45 minutes ago? Certainly had the feeling of a personal bus...

I imagined it as them just having heard rumors of what anon did and possession of actual drugs would have been their only evidence...
