I still don't want it on my desk though.

My Vanguard roth IRA is up 11% since 2020, and is up 30% just this last year. If you are investing into individual stocks yourself I would probably reconsider that strategy. Buying individual stocks is closer to gambling than investing.

I see you did total market funds now, idk what to tell you. But if you are not retiring soon it doesn't really matter. Time in the market is better than timing the market.

Did you restart or shutdown? Shutdown is more like hibernate, restart should be a proper reboot.

I love Lucifer. Every episode is exactly the same and it's amazing.

I think one of the theories is that Hank doesn't actually know how Pym particles work and it's basically magic. Because if you watch it keeping weight in mind none of it makes sense.

Feds are loosening up Eagle take and to a lesser extent peregrine take for falconry in the US.

Golden eagles used to be illegal for falconers to take from the wild until a few years ago, now there is a lottery to take problem eagles off of ranches. They used to issue permits for ranchers to shoot them, and wind turbines to hit them, but wouldn't let falconers take them as hunting partners which was very silly. It's loosening up a bit now which is good. Less dead eagles this way.

Most states have a lottery system to take peregrines already but their population is thriving. I can see states getting rid of the lottery in the next few years. The 50 or so birds taken by falconers each year across the US would be a rounding error to their population anyway.

Covid killed snow days around here, they are now e-learning days. They figure if teachers could handle an entire year of e-learning one day is nothing.

My buddy ordered a 3090 during the covid craze from best buy. He gets an email. Delivery has been cancelled. Item refunded. Gets another email right after. Package delivered. He looks, there's his free 3090. Lucky SOB.

I don't think it was that uncommon for a boomer dad to never change a diaper. One of my friends dad was bragging about it and my own dad was a little surprised to see me change one. Luxury of a single income supporting a middle class family of 4 I guess.

I just watched Hot Tub Time Machine for the first time the other day. The ending is incredibly messed up. They come back and stuff is different but they don't have memory of the last 20 years? They just overwrote the new timeline versions of themselves. And Rob Corddry isn't even sad about it, he's basically like screw those guys that I've built my life around I got my messed up friends back.

The rest of the movie is pretty good though.
