Pro-tip: Sometimes fucking the police also pays.
Hyperreality
That's the good thing. AFAIK most tanks are plastic nowadays.
TBH my first thought was this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thin_Blue_Line_(British_TV_series)
Which I think we can all agree is far more pleasant.
The thin blue line is a symbol for the police. Used in the UK and US.
As a reaction to Black Lives Matter protests against racist police brutality, the (far-)right coined the term Blue Lives Matter to protest violence against the police.
Of course, the whole thing is disingenious. They support the police because the police in the US are often racist and they like that the police disproportionately beat up black people. When rioters stormed the US capital after Trump lost the election, plenty were waving blue lives flags, and didn't actually seem to care that much about endangering the police guarding the building.
TLDR hyper-partisan US political virtue signaling associated with the far-right.
You can't siphon a trucks gas just because it has a blue line flag. Most modern cars have an anti-siphon valve, so that causes issues.
Instead, you locate the fuel tank and drill a small hole in it. That way you can let the fuel collect in a tub or jug. On lifted trucks this is even easier. Drill the hole, pop a large jug under it, perhaps use a small rubber hose or funnel.
Remember to leave them a little note that you've drilled a hole, so they can go get it repaired and not leak fuel everywhere attempting to refill it.
It reminds me a bit of the whole Eva Green controversy, where it was revealed she called other people peasants.
She's a star, she knows she's a star, she's not going to pretend she's not a star. Haughty, imperious, out of touch. Weirdly, my respect for her grew after that whole thing.
Nothing worse than a star who pretends to be humble or contrite.
Ashton and Mila would have been far better saying nothing or only commenting through their representation like the A-listers they are.
Ugh. It's time to post this Sartre quote again. I hate that it's still relevant:
“Never believe that [they] are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. [They] have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”
They won't refresh it or resell yours either, unless it's an expensive model.
In Europe you have e-waste recycling. I hand my electronics in there when I have too much in my drawer or donate it if it still works.
Never had that issue, tbh. For all their flaws and limitations, the affordable motorolas usually run a relatively stock android, so that might be it.
I buy them cash, no contract, prepay.
Trade in value is usually really low, something like 20 euros max. I keep the old phone as a back-up and there's no need to wipe it.
Usually cheaper to buy the new phone on amazon or wherever. They don't offer trade in, but it still works out cheaper. No contract, cheaper phones.
We're all born naked. The rest is drag.
