Overall electricity is relatively cheap in Finland. Historically they were oil heated, which is not very cheap either.

We do not have gas lines in Finland, so we cannot use that like other parts of Europe. This is now of course better because we are not depending on Russian gas.

Previously we got parts of electricity from Russia, but that shutdown after the Ukraine war.

I would suggest more learn by doing approach. Learning OSI model etc is nice, but it is quite jargon :)

Use some old PC as a server, and get some network cards into it, and use it as firewall/router. Route your home network/NAT/DNS/DCHP through it. Raspberry Pi's are nice, but their hw is still bit limited.

OPNSense is quite nice and easy free and open source firewall/router solution.

If you want to add bit of flexibility, you can use some virtualization platform like VMware in to the machine, so that you can run OPNSense in it, with some other virtual servers.

Then when you get things working, you can start looking in to VLAN's, because they are quite important part of enterprise networking. Most cheap switches nowadays support VLAN's out of the box.

Could be easily made 50% space saving by only iffin all odds and return even on else. Maybe one if before to handle overflow to avoid wrong even if over the last if.

Few taps on break lights is actually similar signal backwards than high beams forward.

It is A metric of the company, best could be argued, absolutely best is stretching it. When company value is based on hype, over promise and lies etc, the market cap becomes less relevant and the revenue/profit are better metrics for valuation.

Theranos was valued at 9B$, just based on hype and lies.

Elon Musk is similar vaporware sales man.

By Revenue Tesla is 11th, and by Earnings Tesla is 8th. Market cap is fictional number.

If you have wifi you need to store it's credentials somewhere, and you run into same issue.

In Finland this would be illegal. Firing employees requires reason, and if the reason for firing was "cost cutting", the old employee must be hired back first before new can be hired. There are of course some time limits.
