IANAD, but if it's causing you stress, bro just change your sleeping position, buy one of those gimmick mattresses that specifically has slots for your arm to fall into (like the SONU Sleep System), or just use a buttload of pillows.

Consult a doctor first if that's cheaper than buying a whole new mattress.

I think the grand majority of software license purchases are corporate, where companies are willing to shell out a premium to free up labour (and wages) on stuff like in-house tech support.

Even many freelancers shell out for an Adobe subscription, simply because the time they spend on having to learn how to pirate software, how to fix it, and the risk of being sued far outweigh the monetary benefits of piracy.

Even I, with my good amount of experience using pirated software, am slowly making the switch over to FOSS software just to avoid all the delicate details in piracy.

I know downloading/torrenting copies of movies that you don't own or have a license for is illegal in most countries, but I'm not sure on how legal it is to simply just view them for free on a site like Flixwave.

I really should look more into game theory; that was a fantastic read!

man's actually taking the piss at OP's use of "empirical" instead of "imperial"

also, i doubt that measurements of data can be imperial or metric; even Bytes themselves are just measurements of 8 bits.

I'm going to learn this skill and wonder why people are counting to 4 in front of me.

i've been sitting in cheapo office chairs my whole life and i'm still having a blast.

honestly, any office chair will be fine as long as you are comfortable in it.

no armrests; they get in the way and are pointless when your arms are on the desk already. if your arms aren't on the desk, you aren't actively working; i'm not saying get the fuck back to work, i'm saying if your hands aren't busy, stretch your arms and wrists. RSI is a reaper coming for us all but you can at least alleviate it.

the key is to get up and have a walk around any time you feel like it. stretch, get a snack or a water refill, give your eyes a break from the screen while you mull over legacy code or whatever problem is currently stumping you.

I'd argue that you should let her type, even on a long essay. There's no shortcut to learning how to type, and unless the essay is on a tight deadline, depriving her of the learning opportunity will only delay this crucial ability.

If you're afraid that she will not be able to focus on the essay contents while typing, she can try drafting the essay up with pen on paper first.

EthosLab - the OG Minecraft Youtuber that other Minecraft Youtubers watch; somehow still innovating on redstone and technical builds to this day despite Minecraft redstone already pushed to its limits long ago, and his multiplayer shenanigans on Hermitcraft and Life Series is top notch.

Adam Ragusea - cooking videos made for actual home cooks who just want no-flair no-fuss recipes, as well as food science videos exploring and explaining different cooking methods and food chemistry. I'm particularly a fan of how he encourages you to measure and cook by feel rather than by strictly following recipes.
