Yes, but this time it will be on purpose.

Oh fuck yeah. Skype used to throw errors when the advertisements scripts didn't run correctly. I remember getting dozens of pop ups when the ad changed to something new. To my knowledge, they haven't put ads in Teams, yet. They first need to kill the competition a bit; really set the hook before they reel you in.

The health data could be used against you in court.

I'm listening to the Bobiverse again because the fifth book came out recently. The universe, pun intended, was really interesting and the entire idea of digital people is fun to think about while doing chores.

I believe it's on earth, yes.

I was shopping for parts for a Halloween costume at the beginning of the month. Christmas music was playing in the store.

  • What color was the ball? Blue
  • What gender was the person that pushed the ball? Male
  • What did they look like? Skinny, pants, dress shirt
  • What size is the ball? Like a marble, or a baseball, or a basketball, or something else? Blue, smooth, baseball sized
  • What about the table, what shape was it? What is it made of? Around 2ft square, wooden, light color, four square legs

All of this was built in my head with each part of the prompt. Pretty sure I don't have aphantasia.

Just want to weigh in on Resolve. I was able to get the free version running on Mint, but the free version can't do H.264. I then bought Resolve Studio, but activating the license did not work so I ended up on Windows for video editing.

I also had to switch back to Windows for Affinity, as I have been using Photoshop for years and I have yet to find another piece of software (excluding Affinity) I can move at speed in.

Once I get the content creation off Windows, I can probably leave it behind for good.

I've seen a lot of rulers that actually don't have a mark at 0 and instead go right to the edge as 0. Typically they are worn down, being made of wood, so the accuracy of the first inch is dubious. To ensure the distance is correct, sliding the ruler down one unit is a good idea. So, my ruler starts at 0 but my measurements start at 1.

I'm all for removing gender as the first dividing line, but there needs to be some divisions in place.

As an example, in martial sports they are often separated by weight class to balance the fact that a larger, heavier person would have an advantage over a smaller, lighter person.

Without that, basketball would be dominated by the tallest people only, but that means there is no reason for anyone who isn't tall to even play the game. Break it into height classes and suddenly you meet have a league of skilled, average height players that could be very compelling to watch.

I can't do silence, my thoughts are too loud. Rain sounds work well for me.

Too cold to enjoy or too hot to eat?

With the release of Tapo version 3.0, TP-Link integrates their two lines of smart home devices into a single application, reducing the number of apps needed to control their devices.

Additionally, the update claims improvements to the user interface, optimized camera features, a sleeker status page, and faster responses and startups.

The blow post also suggest that improvements to lighting effects, smart actions, geofencing, and a dark mode will be coming in the future.

I think the best takeaway is that I can have one less app on my phone!
