A lot of sites have weight. Twitter sheds users every day but the large user count makes it attractive to public figures and if you want to follow that public figure you need to have twitter.

If it's a private company that con do what it wants, like blocking political opponents, it should not be under safe harbor protections.

That's the point in yelling about this. If Elon wants a private forum for him and his mates, he should also be fully responsible when his mates posts child porn on his servers.

The things that annoy us are things we are not used to. There are hundreds of things in your life that are equally annoying but since they have always been that way you don't notice them. That's why babies are the way they are. Everything us new and annoying.

I had the same instinct to tear them off but I told myself to not be a toddler and just got used to it within a week.

It feels like one of those where the people that have expertise enough to name new things are not experts in naming things.

Their target audience are the most gullible tech evangelists in the world that think AI is magic. If there was a limit to the lies those people are willing to believe, they wouldn't be buying the thing to begin with.

I literally can't install it even if I wanted to. If they removed that requirement the rollout would be the same as any other update.

They would say that at this stage. They are still working on getting the law overturned by courts and threat of shutdown mobilizes people against the law in a way that selling it wouldn't.

When the time comes to shut down they will probably do some paper work fuckery that technically makes it an Irish company but doesn't change the people in the company.

In the irradiated wasteland after the climate wars there will be a blacksmith somewhere stamping Fiskars on the crude sheers he uses to shave his two headed sheep.

It works as well as any other AI product. The reason this works particularly bad is because it fully relies on the AI to function.

Major problem with the gadget is the same as all AI. You can tell it to perform tasks as long as the task doesn't have any specific requirements to how you want it done and if you inevitably do have requirements its faster to do it yourself.

Nothing outside causing suffering.

I was setting up a RSS reader with a bunch of webcomics but I immediately ran into the problem of some being on Instagram and I would like to have some way to handle that without having to use instagram. After some googling I found a bunch of links to abandoned or broken projects with documentation I did not understand.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am quite the beginner tough, I have a truenas running on an old computer and a raspberry pi in a desk drawer so that the general competence I am working with.
