It's old tech actually. They use it in pacemakers because it's too difficult to replace or recharge the batteries. I guess you could do wireless charging now, but would you feel much safer with a lithium battery inside of you without a good cooling system? The body's internal temperature is surprisingly warm when you start doing the engineering.

Beta-voltaic batteries are already a thing.

Maybe we should have a nonprofit that patents terrible ideas and sues companies that would implement them. Maybe I should patent The Torment Nexus...

Could they just have been holding their hand near their face and the shadow was playing tricks?

One personal benefit of RegularCarReviews coming out as gay has been the purge of right wingers from his channel.

Still, if google can tweak the algo so kids don't get fitness videos, I should be able to have a toogle to keep right wing videos out.

They don't care. They are so deep in their cult, nothing can pull them out. If tomorrow, Trump came out, completely lucid, and admitted everything was a hoax, his supporters would just shift to another cult leader.

Also, at one point, they referred to themselves as Centipedes. They probably got tricked into it, but they still did it proudly. Calling them Magats isn't much different.

Well, no. It was more a joke, but I have a third party channel blocker installed that I use to block them, but every now and then, I get a new one recommended to me. What I find interesting is is that I never engage with those types of channels, so why would the algorithm ever suggest them in the first place if the algorithm? In fact, the only political content of any type I watch is Behind the Bastards, but it never suggests any left wing content. Kinda odd.

With how geriatric the Japanese government is, I like those odds.

Is there any way they can stop suggesting me right wing channels?

Honestly, with how people reacted to covid numbers being fudged downward or accepting whatever lie that claims that climate change is fake, I do not believe that any more evidence that corporations are listening in on your conversations would get any reaction out of the population. Hell, did anything come from the Panama Papers or Paradise Papers? The average person does not care.

This is not the court of law and no one is going to jail because of my distrust of corporations. "Innocent until proven guilty" does not apply here. Any batshit idea I could come with on how a corporation could siphon my data, they have already thought of and tried. They do not deserve the benefit of the doubt.

People are lazy and life is easier when you just blindly trust things you don't understand. People think I'm weird that I don't want a Ring camera INSIDE my house. I wouldn't even put on outside my home.

I'm in a catch 22 situation. I want to go to a four year college, but I was previously placed in the remedial track and have a poor academic standing. If I go to a community college, I could improve my grades, but the material they cover is a replacement for high school classes and I'd be precluded from signing up for entry classes at the four year college. This seems like to would put me at a disadvantage when that finally happened and I would only be setting myself up for long term failure.

I'd consider CC if I could "transfer" in as a freshman to a four year, but the colleges I looked into all have rules against applying as a freshman if you have two years worth of credits. When I tried CC, the material was absolutely high school level just with smaller font in the textbooks.

I've been seeing a lot of usernames formatted "[lowercase][fourdigits]" or "user-[randomletternumbers]".

Normally, I'd assume that that just means the name was already taken and the numbers are manually entered to make it unique, but the formatting is too consistent. Is that something google is doing automatically?

The other one is real weird. Is that something some proxy sites are doing for anonymous posting?
