Google is forcing apps to have Google services handle private keys. VLC doesn't think that's a good policy for security (it's not), so they're refusing to adopt it. Whenever you sign in on an app with your fingerprint, the encryption/authentication is being handled by a different program and stored alongside all your other keys. This creates a single point of failure for all sign-ons on your phone.

The CEO is a Russian, the company is based out of Dubai, and messages aren't encrypted by default. In fact, only private messages can be encrypted, group messages cannot. Telegram is not a trustworthy platform and a champion for user privacy like most people think, Signal is what you're looking for.

This is blatantly not true. To sign up for lemmy.ml, you have to provide an email, name, and a couple sentences of why you're joining. You should stop inventing false statements and spewing them on the internet. It's not good for anyone. In fact, it makes everyone who dislikes lemmy.ml look like idiots.

Someone at Netflix a year or two ago did an analysis on their customers and determined that most people will pay any price for netflix because they spend all their time at home and watch movies on it regularly, which was probably true. So Netflix decided to act on it, but once one company acts on it, it's the best time for other streaming services to jump on the train because it's less likely customers can fight back against one company making one anti-consumer policy. So pretty quickly you get a tidal wave of enshitification.

Living in the US, I know what mph, inches, feet, yards and pounds all mean. Anything else I'll end up looking up, and yes, I've lived here my whole life. I don't make any mistakes because I always end up checking how my cups are in a quart or whatever.

I'm not convinced OP has covered even and odd functions yet, best to not confuse him.
