Zazen. If the mind is empty, there is no one to be bored.

Go on Lemmy and rant in an echo chamber.

Or alternatively. Continuing reading SCPs and hope I don't get creeped out this time. (Spoilers, I will get creeped out again)

(My favorite SCP is 2935 btw. Awesome read.)

Or watch youtube videos. Veritasium is good (they did have some sponsorship controversy in the past, keep that in mind)

I sometimes rewatch old Jacksepticeye videos for nostalgia.

Occasionally I check to see if theres any new movies or TV series to watch.

The last I watched is For All Mankind, an alt-history on the premise of "What if the USSR won the race to the moon?", very intriguing. Hoping they'll have a new season soon, there is still a lot of story to be wrapped up.

I also check to see if The Expanse got renewed, although at this point I doubt it ever will.

I'm honestly running out of things to do.

Maybe I should go outside lol... right into the toxic gasoline exhausts of the many cars passing by, which just reminds me of climate change and makes me depressed...

What do y'all even do? I'm constantly bored...

That is really cool and slightly terrifying.

when i get to the point i think i am bored i think "maybe i am tired?" or "maybe i am hungry" or "maybe i need to unwind?" and it is surely one of those.

afaik, never really experienced pure boredom.

Same. Too little time and so much to do

I also basically never get bored. If I am put into a situation that other people would find boring, I tend to get lost in my thoughts or daydream.

If that's not an option, I often find that I don't get bored even just doing simple tasks that others would find boring.

The only time I ever generally feel bored is if I am somehow required to do a truly mind numbing task, like wait for something to happen, and I am forcing myself to pay attention.

Play video games, read, do chores, play with my dog

Usually play guitar, play around in blender, or code. It sounds backward, but boredom does wonders for my creative side.

Listen to a record, read (books, comics, articles, anything), walk, watch TV, cook, text a friend, maybe even play a level of Portal or a word game, or just lie down if that's the mood.

Skim Lemmy and now Bluesky, play solitaire games, watch videos, go for a walk, contemplate the meaninglessness of existence, write, play video games, work (if I'm at work)

Satisfactory recently took over my free time. ALL of it.

Otherwise I have coding projects, CAD/printing projects, electronics projects, D&D session planning, and (of course) Lemmy/Mastodon.

i feel like only people with too much free time get bored
