Be the change you wanna see. Start that aoe2 community
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected]
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

How dare you suggest the obvious thing!
I came here to consume, not produce.
Fucking story of my life
I also like SpiritOfTheLaw.
More diy and home improvement shit.
Not appear, but to actually take off. There is [email protected], but there is hardly any activity.
So please, go out there and take pictures of spiders and post them.
I'm an old r/spiderbro enjoyer, so as long as they accept pictures of me talking about how I appreciate my room mate spider I might stop by!
[email protected] also exist!
Any spider content is generally welcome. Unless it's suggesting killing or harming them, or making false claimes about their danger. As long as you love them, it should be fine.
Yay spider bros!
With how many flies are in my house I keep wondering how many spiders I could release in my house before it becomes a problem.
Flies are noisy and up in my business all the time and trying to get on my food.
Spider bros just wanna find a nice corner where flies will run into them and chill out.
I'd like HighQualityGifs to move or catch on, here.
Popping
Thank you for answering how you feel.
How you feel is wrong. But it's still appreciated.
That's the one with the pimples, right? I still remember having seen that .... I wanted to forget. Why did you remind me?
I really did enjoy popping my own though. I just don't understand why you would want to watch it from other people.
Not just pimples, but cysts, boils, winter pores, ingrown hairs, ear wax, blackheads, ingrown toenails, splinters, abscesses, tooth extractions, spider bites, bot flies, ringworm.. it was glorious
spider bites
I assure you, everything you find on various image search engines on this particular keywords will be wrong. Spider bites that result in serious complication are exceedingly rare. Almost undocumented since the time of proper record keeping and unheard of since anti-venoms where introduced in the US and Australia.
With that out of the way .. I hate you for making me read all those disgusting words ... half of them I have a mental picture for.
just don't typo it into "pooping", because that would be weird and gross
Everbody poops
I used to enjoy browsing r/shittyaskscience and r/mildvandalism.
Something like toolgif or specialisedtools, but sadly it has to wait until lemmy enable mp4 embed.
Curly hair and wavy hair.
Do it! Create the community, set up some rules, and wait for people to discover it.
I don't have the knowhow, the time or the brain energy. Already spinning enough plates.
AITA. I'm subbed to a few alternatives on Lemmy, but they're all dead. Sure, I could start it myself, but it needs other people to post to actually be worth it.
A few real niche ones, I also miss AOE2, and r/e30 now and then
Most of the things I like to follow have communities I want are here. But there are a number where there aren't enough subs to make it a real community yet. Often this is because there just isn't a ton of OC to post because they're not super popular. Like my favorite band ([email protected]), my favorite video game ([email protected]), or my favorite TV Show ([email protected] - the show is quite popular though)
The MST3K and Stargate communities here aren't terribly active and I lack the leet meme skills to help
The renfaire community. Also disneyvacation/notdisneyvacation.
I'm hoping for hungryartists to show up.
television communities that weren't for probably crappy shows
r/topsandbottoms and r/pecsandpecbouncing are the biggest subs that keep me on reddit.
Like a month before the migration I found out Mike Pondsmith and Fam commented on the cyberpunk TTRPG board, that was pretty cool.
itslenny
an active /r/peloton clone
My favorite podcasts
I'm hoping for a more active Counter-strike community. There are a couple out there, but not much activity. It's pretty much the only thing I still check regularly on Reddit.
I miss the crew from r/woodstoving. It's about the time of year to be posting our wood stacks and testing the moisture content and commenting about cooler nights making us think about firing up the ole stove!
Parenting or mom specific. I've only seen a dad community that says dads only.
The furry community is either very sparse here, or I haven't used the search tool properly.
Yiffit
Now that you mention it, I don't think I've seen a single SFW furry thing here yet.
/r/rats - a pet rat community. Neither masto nor lemmy have any ratcontent
Keep on meaning to start a community for Bright Eyes fans
Age of empires 2?
Yeah! The definite edition is amazing and gets new expansions and updates all the time.
Not to mention big tournaments are always going on. It's really active.
