Dude those aren't even that good off-road. The old ones were but not these. A Mercedes AWD wagon is probably more capable than this POS.

The amount of landys I've seen off the road in snowy/icy conditions is hilarious.

I'd guess it's a combination of them not being as good as their reputation and the false sense of security that they give the drivers.

I saw this post yesterday, and then today on my way to the train station cars were queueing at a traffic light with 2 lanes. One lane cars couldn't get into because another cars poor positioning, but a range rover just mounted the curb and bombed it around loads of cars. I guess that counts as off-road.
