My friend has a webcam set up in his apartment. It covers the front door and the kitchen.
I thought he used it for security but he says he just used it to check the stove and oven are off whenever he's out and gets anxious that they might be on.

I have literally turned around and gone home to check if I closed the garage door, so I feel this.
I had a new oven delivered today. I made a pizza pie to celebrate. The new oven doesn't work.... fan and lights work but no heat.
Had to knock on my neighbour's door and use his. I have him a slice as payment.
Anyway, for now I don't have this problem.
It was good. Like a pizza soup
Damn, now I'm hungry. Share
This has to last me until the new oven arrives.

You turn around, open the door, get to the kitchen and then the horrible realisation sets in: I don’t have an oven.
I've left for a week long business trip thinking I left the shower running. I did not.
There's a few perks to living with roommates. There's usually someone home to check.
Take a photo as you leave the house, then whenever you get anxious you can always check the photo and be sure.
I think this would just nurture that particular type of anxiety.
But how can you be sure the last picture you took isnt lying? Youll have to go back to the house to verify.
