EDIT: Now it has started ahowing up on system app list . Am i fucked ? Now i have to wipe down right ?

Today when i opened the tab of psa my firewall (rethink) pinged as i have set it to automatically block internet acess of newly installed apps and ask me to decide if i should allow them internet access. The thing is i can't find them on my phones applist even if i enable system apps to delete it . Rethink shows it in installed catalog and i am pretty sure this is an installed app as i have gone through my system apps several times and just look at it it only tries to connect to that site and is made to pass as a system app . What should i do ? Should i wipe down my phone ? Also /c/ piracy should stop reccomending that shithole site honestly.

PS : Sorry if i'm on the wrong community you can point me in the right direction.

Honestly IMO if you have even an inkling that you've been got by a virus, nuking from orbit is the only solution.

What does piracy have to do with privacy? Perhaps put your query and demand on their board?

last time i got a virus i made sure i had documents backed up and then formatted the hard drive. that was over a decade ago though so i don't know how people deal now

Haven't had it happen to me, but a guy i know dealt with it but saying "no don't touch it, it doesn't bother me"

His screen got covered in porn whenever he turned out on, hot singles in his area...

I'd just wipe everything; also change the passwords to the accounts used during suspected infection, mb try to ask the cellular provider the SMS history in case it reset any passwords. Y'know, the usual stuff.
