MODERATORS

Does anyone know how I can see only the primary comments on a post on Lemmy, either in browser or (for bonus points) the Jerboa app?

I often click on a post only to get bogged down and sad with people arguing back and forth about each other's comments. I would like to just see the comments in direct response the post.

Possible?

Thanks!

I don't know about instances I have not tried this on, but mine does not have the same option Reddit has where you can click on the line below a comment and cause the child comments to disappear.

Locking as this post violates rule 5.

The reddit enhancement suite had a feature that would auto-collapse all child comments, and it was friggin' great.

Sorry, I know this doesn't answer your question. But I would also enjoy that feature.

It's just less mental energy to expand the stuff you want to dig into, rather than collapse all the stuff you don't want to see. (First world problems.)

I don't think this is an option yet, but I believe I saw it discussed somewhere already so they might be working on it
